Harris County Pets

It’s Pit Bull Awareness Month! 🐾💙

To celebrate, we asked some of our staff to pick a few of their favorite pit mixes currently at Harris County Pets, and trust us, choosing wasn’t easy! 🥹

These pups each have their own personalities, quirks, and plenty of love to give. Whether they’re playful, cuddly, goofy, or just happy to hang out by your side, they’re ready for the chance to show you what makes them so special.

🐶 Come meet our staff favorites, or one of the many other amazing pets waiting for a home!

It’s October 3rd. 💕

In honor of Mean Girls Day, we’re putting the spotlight on some of our totally fetch foster dogs looking for their forever homes. 🐶✨

They’ve been living in foster homes, showing off their personalities, learning what it’s like to be part of a family, and waiting for someone to say…

“Get in, loser. We’re going home.” 🚗💨🏠

Ready to meet our foster dogs? Check them out and see who might be your perfect match! 💗

October is Adopt a Shelter Dog Month! 🐾🍂

There are so many incredible dogs at Harris County Pets waiting for their next adventure, their favorite, or simply a family to call their own. 💙

This month, we’re encouraging our Harris County community to Paws for the Cause and learn more about adoption, responsible pet ownership, and the many ways you can support shelter pets.

October is Adopt a Shelter Dog Month, y obvio we had to celebrate con un poquito de drama. 😂

No drama needed to find your new best friend. Come meet the hundreds of dogs waiting for homes at Harris County Pets!

Wow! What an INCREDIBLE turnout! 🐾

This World Rabies Day, we helped more than 218 PETS receive vaccinations and microchips! We want to thank our Harris County community members for showing up and taking an important step to keep their pets healthy and protected.

Some community members even drove over an hour (because you know how big Harris County is!) to make sure their pets could receive these services.

We also want to give a huge THANK YOU to Harris County Precinct 2 Commissioner Adrian Garcia for hosting us at the Flukinger Community Center and helping make this event possible!

It truly means the world to us to see community members from across Harris County and from all backgrounds come together for their pets. ❤️

Missed out? Keep following us! We’ll be sharing details about our next event soon.
