Four matches. Eight different countries. Thousands of people. One thing I kept coming back to…
Football is one of the few languages that doesn’t need translating.
From Germany 🇩🇪 vs. Curaçao 🇨🇼, to the Netherlands 🇳🇱 vs. Sweden 🇸🇪, Portugal 🇵🇹 vs. DR Congo 🇨🇩, and Japan 🇯🇵 vs. Brazil 🇧🇷—every match had its own rhythm, its own story, and its own community showing up with pride.
One of my favorite parts was seeing my brother holding it down as an official FIFA World Cup DJ here in Houston. Watching someone from the city move from our local stages to one of the world’s biggest sporting events is a reminder that Houston’s talent belongs on every stage.
The Brazil supporters might’ve won the award for loudest fans 😂🇧🇷, but every section brought something special. The chants, the colors, the drums, the dancing—it reminded me that culture isn’t something you watch. It’s something you participate in.
Houston showed exactly why it’s one of the most diverse and culturally rich cities in the world. As we get closer to welcoming the world back in 2026, these are the moments that remind us what makes this city so special.
