Today’s assignment is to capture aerial photos and video of a vessel offloading several massive cranes for new installations at the Port of Houston on behalf of my client . The cranes range roughly 180-200 feet high.

Upgrading the Live Production setup system to something a little more robust. Replacing the ATEM SDI Extreme ISO that was in the 6U Rack to a 2 M/E Constellation. This will give me more inputs and outputs capabilities.

Getting the switcher setup and ready to go live! I’m starting to think Live Production is like a drug, cuz I be tweaking and bouncing around doing these type of projects…or it could just be I become a nervous wreck cuz the client always has last minute changes, never gets all the assets in on time and changes the run or show right before go time 😬

Man the rig saved my shoulders yesterday. Was on my feet pretty much all day outside capturing interviews and broll content for a client. They camera was heavy AF! Rocking a Panasonic VariCam with a Anton Bauer brick and Canon 18-80 Lens. This camera build easily weighs about 25 pounds. 😬
Only issue I hv with the rig is the vest. Wish bottom straps fit around my hips and not on my waist to take pressure off my lower back. But this thing is aces in my book!

Decided to give the a try after seeing strapped up in it on his IG post. Have to say it comes in handy for like capturing broll at conferences and expos when you are on your feet all day walking around gathering content and don’t feel like holding a gimbal. I have to rig it out a little better tho other than that I give it a 👍🏾. May need to invest in a lens with IS.
