A proud Houstonian and Texas A&M graduate, Jake earned his degree in Agricultural Economics with a focus on Finance and Real Estate, a background that translates seamlessly into the commercial real estate world. He gained valuable hands-on experience through internships with Finial Group and Sago and is ready to make an immediate impact at Moody Rambin.

Outside the office, Jake enjoys cheering on Houston sports teams and spending time on the pickleball court, golf course, and in the field hunting.

Happy Veterans Day, Ramsey Victor!

In 2014, while still a junior in high school, Ramsey Victor enlisted in the Texas Army National Guard as a Combat Engineer. He completed his training at Fort Leonard Wood, where he transitioned from civilian to soldier over the course of two years. Ramsey's home unit became Alpha Company, 172nd Engineer Battalion, where he proudly served his hometown of Houston and surrounding communities during Hurricane Harvey. In 2018, he deployed for 18 months to the South Texas–Mexico border in support of the Department of Homeland Security. Ramsey concluded his military service in April 2020, receiving an Honorable Discharge.

Captain Shane Cawood served in Army Military Intelligence for 10 years, starting with enlistment as an Arabic linguist in Signal Intelligence out of high school in 1991. During multiple deployments, Shane earned his Bachelor’s degree and rapid promotions to Staff Sergeant within his 1st 5 years before his acceptance into Army Officer’s Candidate School in 1997, where he earned his commission as a Military Intelligence Officer. Some of Shane’s fondest moments were during his service as a liaison and interpreter for the Multinational Forces & Observers (MFO) in Sinai, Egypt and Isreal, where he had the opportunity work with regional leaders, business owners, and commanders from multiple countries on behalf of the MFO and the U.S. Army’s 82nd Airborne Division.

Dan McMillan Moody, Jr passed away peacefully on October 10, 2025, while on vacation in Woodstock, Vermont. He was born on June 19, 1941, at Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Houston, Texas. He was the firstborn and son of Dan McMillan Moody, Sr. and Florence Hedrick Moody.

He will be remembered for his entrepreneurial presence, his kind and generous spirit, and his complete love and adoration for his wife, family, and friends. He especially enjoyed working with his father and brothers in the early years and, most recently, with his son, Dan III, brother, John Sr. and nephews, John Jr., Joe L., and Dan T.
All who know Dan will dearly miss him.

Friends are cordially invited to a Celebration of Life for Dan Jr. to be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at River Oaks Country in the Main Dining Room.
