SOMEONE TRIED TO SPOIL MY DAY TODAY.

Yes, today.

Someone looked at me and made a very negative pronouncement over my life. Words meant to make me feel small, discouraged, and broken.

For a few minutes, I felt it. My mood dropped. I asked myself, "Am I really accepting it?" NO

I reminded myself of something important:

Not every opinion about you is the truth. Some people will speak from their own pain, their own jealousy, their own bitterness. They will try to project their darkness into your light. But you have the power to REJECT it.

So I chose to shake it off.

I refused to carry negativity into the rest of my beautiful day. I refused to let someone else's mouth decide my mood.

Let me tell you this tonight, my friend reading this:

No matter what anyone has said about you — that you will fail, that you will never make it, that you are not good enough — IT IS NOT YOUR TRUTH until you accept it.

Your life is not in their hands. Your future is not in their mouth.

The same mouth that cursed you cannot stop what God has blessed.

So today, I am choosing peace. I am choosing joy. I am choosing to believe only what God says about me — that I am loved, that I am capable, that I will rise.
