What does true inclusion look like?
What if every adult with autism and other neurodiversities had the opportunity to belong, contribute, work, learn, and thrive within their community?
In our upcoming episode, we're joined by Kelly Baughman of Project Beacon, an organization working to create a future where neurodiverse adults are not only supported—but empowered.
This conversation goes beyond awareness. It's about creating communities where everyone has a place, a purpose, and the opportunity to reach their full potential.

We have had several people ask about our upcoming Spirit Night Fundraiser, so we wanted to send a friendly reminder that everyone is invited.
Families, friends, supporters, community members, local businesses, and anyone who believes in creating opportunities for adults with autism or other neurodiversities are encouraged to join us.
Enjoy an evening of food, bowling, laser tag, arcade games, prizes, and fun while supporting a great cause. Best of all, 20% of sales will directly support Project Beacon's mission and the programs that help adults with autism or other neurodiversities build independence, confidence, and community connections.
We would love to see you there. Feel free to invite friends, coworkers, neighbors, and family members.

What is Beacon SMILES?
Supporting Mastery through Inclusive Leisure and Employment Skills.
Beacon SMILES is designed for adults with autism or other neurodiversities who are seeking greater independence, meaningful social connections, career success, and personal growth.
Many of the individuals we serve are attending college, pursuing employment, exploring independent living, or working to build friendships and confidence. While they may appear neurotypical to others, they often face challenges that can make navigating adulthood more difficult.
Our program provides individualized coaching, career guidance, social opportunities, life skills development, and mentorship to help participants achieve their goals and reach their full potential.
Whether the goal is finding meaningful employment, building lasting friendships, succeeding in college, or developing greater independence, Beacon SMILES provides support every step of the way.

Confidence in the kitchen starts with simple skills and a willingness to try.
A huge thank you to Chef Matt of Reeds ComfortEats for volunteering his time to teach our participants an easy, beginner friendly recipe that can be recreated at home. Learning to cook is about more than preparing a meal. It helps build confidence, independence, decision making skills, and kitchen safety practices that are important for everyday life.
Thank you, Chef Matt, for investing your time and expertise in our community.
