Purchasing a home is one of the most stressful and yet exciting events in your lifetime. We may not add to the excitement, but we can definitely relieve some stress. The findings in our home inspection report may not always be what you were expecting, but it will reflect the condition of the home at the time of the inspection. Consider it a snapshot in time of the condition of the home. Some defects may not be visible even when using non-intrusive tools for inspection. Other defects may develop after the inspection. The report is meant to be a complement to the seller disclosures. With that in mind, we always advise our clients to ask the seller questions about the modifications, upgrades, renovations or repairs during their ownership of the property. You should also ask about any warranties and their transferability to you of the work that has been done.
