We are grateful for our partnership with !!

One of redM’s corporate partners, IBM, has developed an IT skill development program for overcomers of s*x trafficking to learn new skills for free in partnership with ITExperience INC. Career development is an integral part of our work at Twelve 11 Partners.

We are partnering with 4 Overcomers/Lived Experience Experts who will start the IBM IT Career training this month!!! Excited is an understatement.

We have launched a campaign to assist with additional costs, such as transportation to in-person classes, laptops, etc., to help these amazing individuals complete the course successfully.

Giving Tuesday is next month, but you don’t have to wait until then to jump in and help. Please consider donating to help make this solution a reality.

Laughter, tears, breakthrough, games, vision boards, affirmations, singing, fashion show, workout, inspiration, trust-building, friendship, food, worship, transparency, dancing — these are just a “few” words to describe our first Overcomers Retreat!!!

We had such a great time this past weekend! The women we partner with not only left inspired, but equipped.

Something special happened and it was beautiful.

One of the women said, “Now, THIS is a retreat!” 😆

Thank you to all who made it possible!! Thank you for partnering with Overcomers!!

Another Justice Series Event is here, and we are excited!!

This event will be extra special as we will be screening the film "Can Oppression Be Liberation?" written by three amazing Survivor Advocates, including Melanie Thompson, who will lead the important conversation about full decriminalization of the s*x trade, race, and generational oppression.

If you do this work or want to learn more about combating human trafficking, please join us on September 21, 2023, at 6:30 p.m.

Wow! What a line up. We can’t wait to hear from these amazing speakers!!!!

Such an honor to speak at the National Human Trafficking Prevention Summit in DC alongside such powerful clinical experts 💙

Human trafficking is rooted in the systemic oppression, historical trauma, and intergenerational trauma that make it possible to exploit the most marginalized.

It’s not trauma-informed if it’s not culturally inclusive. It’s not anti-trafficking if it’s not anti-oppressive.

What a joy and an honor to have been part of this journey and to release this report today in 4 languages! 🥹🥳🙌🏾

Two years ago, the brilliant Megan Lundstrom brought together a team of economic justice and human trafficking experts across the country to design a survivor-led research project around some key questions:
- What do survivors of trafficking wish employers knew?
- How do we move from short-term economic empowerment to long-term, sustainable economic justice?

What started as an idea became a national study with 102 survivor participants across the US and Canada and with an intentional focus on survivor, BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and language justice inclusion. ✊🏾🏳️‍🌈🌎

A huge shout out to the amazing partners that made this happen:
- Author: Megan Lundstrom,
- Editor: Ashante Taylorcox, MA-MHC, LPC,
- Editor: Jessica Pham,
- Reviewer: Cynthia Luvlee,
- Data Collection: Bianca Ramos, the Avery Center
- Participants: Each survivor participant who chose to share their wisdom and vulnerability in hopes of making change

And a very special shout out to the SPC (Shobana Powell Consulting) team- thanks to you this report will reach so many more communities around the world:
- Graphic Design: Cristian Eduardo
- Spanish Translation: Aidee Lomeli
- Simplified Chinese Translation: Jingyu (Yuki) Chen
- French Translation: Alida Tchicamboud
