Easy to build and repair, built to last forever. Simple requirements for an outdoor elementary school classroom! The Learning Pavilion is designed and built with common materials - lumber from a home improvement store and standard pregalvanized steel shapes. Simple details, repeated and replaceable parts! Photos of the finished - and award winning - project on our website.

Important moments, like standing at the kitchen sink, were re-organized around the original features, like bay windows, of this historic bungalow. This reconnected our clients' living spaces to their neighborhood and gave the house "good bones". Small things like painting the window sashes deep neutral green connect your eye and experience to the treescape outside.

"Soaring ceilings... quietness..." These were our clients' wishes for their home on Rosstown. Careful views, thoughtfully proportioned spaces, and soft neutral colors throughout the home create a quiet backdrop for the play of light and greenery outside.

β€œWe want first-floor living and super-awesome outdoor space that isn’t two flights of stairs away.”
Our clients’ new 3,500 square foot 4 bedroom 4 1/2 bathroom home is elevated almost 5 feet above the floodplain. We were able to give them connected living space across their entire site, with terraces on every level, inside a comfortable courtyard.

We believe the way your spaces will relate to neighbors, views, the climate, and anything around should be considered in the design before the building takes shape. High corner windows in this bathroom at the Southgate Residence let light play on the curved ceiling and give tree and sky views from the shower without compromising privacy.

The lot and the budget for the Southgate Residence were small. The house is oriented length-wise along the west side of a narrow lot, allowing you to pass through the long side garden and breezeway to enter the 3 bedroom 2 1/2 bath home, which comes in at 2,535 square feet. Compact AND gracious 🌞

The second floor at the Rosstown Residence is perched under the deep roof, with beams and ceilings that extend through the windows to shelter gracious outdoor spaces.
