I know I say “these were so fun to do” every time, but a Swiftie theme has got to be at or near the top!

Anyway, I had a great time at the “In My Sinclair Mom Era” event last Friday! Thanks to and for hosting such a fun event (and for the tumblers/opportunity to engrave them)!

Do you get all the references on these tumblers? Which ones did I leave out?

Bold. Playful. A little rebellious.

Inspired by the contrast between structure and unpredictability, I used playing cards as a structured foundation—then disrupted that order with layered textures, rhinestones, and mixed materials.

Each element was placed intentionally, balancing repetition with variation to create something both controlled and expressive. The design builds dimension through contrast—soft vs. sharp, matte vs. shine, order vs. chaos.

Not perfect. Not meant to be.

Just… expressive.

Can we just take a second to appreciate that Oak Forest Elementary has a theme?! 🙌 That bold, joyful, iconic style is all about people, connection, and community — honestly, it’s kind of perfect for a school.

Gotta say... I usually think darker/higher contrast colors look better with engraving, but I really love how this one came out! The subtlety makes it feel both delicate and tough, which goes perfectly with the "coquette cowgirl" theme! 🎀🐴

So I engraved a place to circle the day, write the date, and added a chalk marker to make it part of the routine. 🖊️

Do teachers want another place to write the date?

Absolutely!

This one’s an all-time favorite — even if the camera (or my photography) DID NOT quite do it justice.
