Calling all GSD Scouts to participate in this year’s Woodlands 4th of July parade! Come help celebrate the 250th birthday of our nation with Scouts across the district! All Packs and Troops are invited. We will meet in the East parking lot of the Woodlands Methodist Church before 8:30 on 7/4. Bring a water bottle and sunscreen, and class A uniforms are encouraged. See you there!!!

Talk about a DINO-Mite Day Camp!

George Strake Day camp wrapped up its three day camp with 185 scouts, 90 adult volunteers and 35 Scout volunteers!

We worked around rain, unearthed fossils, shot bbs, caught fish, completed electives, aimed slingshots, entertained pre scouts, created AOL patrols, saved Mr Bob from a friendly dinosaur and can’t wait to see what next year will bring.

A massive thanks to our key staff, adult volunteers and scouts who made this week a BLAST from the past 🦕

George Strake wants to give a massive thanks to Daryl Pratho for serving our Day Camp for over seven years. Thank you for being Day Camp Director for the last five years. It has been awesome.

This past weekend showed a massive turnout of George Strake Arrowmen at Colonneh Lodge’s annual Spring OA bash!

Thank you to all the youth staff and adults who made the weekend amazing!

The Rayford Corridor units hosted a HUGE swim test tonight!

Over 106 Scouts and adults from Troop 895, 293, 589, 1293, 886 and Crew 888 plus 7 Webelos from Pack 895!

That’s over 111 swim tests in an over an HOUR!!!

Thank you so much to our lifeguards and unit leaders for the smooth chaos.
