Pulling and Harvesting Papayas, Banana covering, lemon grass harvesting, other harvests, and the beauty before the freeze...
Before the freeze and freeze prep at the school garden...
Fruit tree coverings for this cold front.
We harvested 17 lbs of sweet potatoes and 21 lbs of turmeric in small spaces!
I was really happy with how good the soil is looking and how many worms are in the soil! It can take some time, but healthy practices turn into healthy results.

Excited for a change of pace! We just finished a beautiful installation for a customer ready to plant fruit trees and other perennials. 🌳🌿🌱After a run of garden beds, our team was thrilled to work on something different.
If you’re concerned about the time commitment of a garden, this setup is a fantastic option! Once established, it requires minimal maintenance compared to annual vegetable beds.
Now is the perfect time to get temperate fruit trees in the ground! We also love incorporating other edible perennials to boost the overall health and biodiversity of the ecosystem.
P.S. It was so rewarding to be on site for “phase two” of this property and hear all about the abundant harvests they’ve been enjoying! We love seeing a plan come to life.

The extreme cold over the last 5 years in Texas has significantly impacted our citrus industry. We are now seeing citrus from places as far away as South Africa, about 9,000 miles away, which is about 6x further than the average food travels to your plate.
Fortunately there are solutions for keeping citrus alive in Texas. Interesting enough, the most sensible ones involve small scale solutions in your own yard. If you'd like assistance growing your own food, please reach out, and we'd be happy to discuss how we can get you started.
Shout out to South Africa, hope you enjoy the song on this post.

I really love teaching these classes! It is amazing to teach outside in the elements at one of, if not the most sustainable houses in . The topics are great starters for the permaculture course and there is so much to talk about in that well designed landscape.
A great friend of mine used to always be happy to teach me things that he learned and I was struggling with in college. I get it now. It is very rewarding to help others gain the knowledge that you have obtained, and at the same time, it reinforces what you know, especially when the class is interested and has such great questions!
Thank you for continuing to make these opportunities available!
