Tonight we hit a "Trifecta". Assisted in the location and recovery of a juvenile, the arrest of a trafficker and the arrest of a "john" for solicitation of a minor. I am always humbled by the effectiveness and professionalism of DPSCID.

In the past 4 weeks, we have been able to assist in the location/recovery of several juviniles, one being a pre-teen, and the identification/arrest of 4 traffickers. Later this month, jury selection starts in federal court in the case of a prolific child trafficker. We have high hopes that this predator will never again have the opportunity to harm another child. Houston rapper gets life for s*x trafficking teenagers A 29-year-old man residing in the Houston and Austin areas has been sentenced for s*x trafficking three minors and an adult

This week, we were able to play a role in the location and recovery of two juveniles and the identification / arrest of multiple traffickers. Despite the challenges of a holiday weekend and a 650-mile trip, we remained committed to our mission and are grateful for all those who share our passion for helping others, no matter the inconvenience. We have witnessed firsthand that there are still heros among us.

Today, Trafficker Larry 'Lavish' Lewis was sentenced to 40 years in federal court, where he must serve 85% of his sentence before being eligible for release.

A few days ago, we assisted one of our Law Enforcement partners with the location and recovery of a pre teen. I don't think there will ever be a day that I don't think of this child and the way our system is broken. Why can we not charge and prosecute traffickers/pedophiles the same way we prosecute domestic violence offenders? The factors that make it difficult for DV suvivors to testify/give evidence are at play with trafficking/s*xual assualt victims. We can do better.... The things that cause anger issues.
