dyslexia: a condition that involves difficulty reading due to problems identifying speech sounds and learning how they relate to letters and words. It is also called a reading disability. People with dyslexia have normal intelligence and usually have normal vision. Though there’s no cure for dyslexia, early and consistent intervention results in the best outcomes.

What’s most important in the education of my children? What is the “why”? If we were talking in the business vernacular, we would be talking about mission statements. But we are not talking about products, IT, or marketing brands. We are talking about children, the future of our society.
When COVID-19 forced the closure of schools, I saw teachers scrambling to fill the void of a 6-hour school day. The result was irrelevant worksheets, made-up projects, web-site clamoring. I saw parents shaking their heads and asking, “Why?”
