What is YESS Camp? According to our counselors, it's a safe space 🥰, bonding experience 🫂, leadership opportunity 😎, chance to learn about Buddhism 👩‍🏫, and most importantly... FUN! 💃

Come join us. We are excited to have a bunch of new campers registered, who are looking to connect with new friends, but unfortunately not many of our seasoned members have signed up yet to meet them. 🥺 This is a special opportunity to talk about the Dharma and your everyday lives with other youth. We hope to see you there!

As a reminder, neighbor island participants can have their flights covered! We are increasing our free flights from 5 spots to 8 (or more!) There are still 4 spots available to claim!!! ✈️

Hey you! Yeah, you. 😊 Are you from Big Island, Maui, Kauai, or any neighbor island? We want YOU to come to YESS Camp.

The counselors and planning committee have been working hard to try to make camp as accessible to everyone around the state as possible. Thanks to fundraising efforts, we will subsidize flight costs for neighbor island participants. Campers should book their flights, save their receipts, and we will offer a partial or full refund of the flight cost after camp. For the first FIVE neighbor island campers to sign up, we will guarantee FULL reimbursement for flights. Spots are still available (as of 4/24)!!

Please register using the link or QR code in the post. The registration for camp is $50 for a three day event, including meals, transportation, activities, etc. This fee applies to participants from all islands.

Like and share to your friends! No Hongwanji experience is needed to attend camp. Just bring a good attitude and be open to learning about the Dharma. 🎉

YESS WE'RE BACK!! 😃 Young Enthusiastic Shinshu Seekers Camp is back for the 40th time and there's still time to join. YESS Camp 40 will be held at the Buddhist Study Center on May 25-27, 2024. 🗓️ The final registration date is May 1 and the registration fee is $50.

This is a special opportunity for youth- anyone age 13-23 who is interested in Jodo Shinshu Buddhism; no Hongwanji experience necessary- to connect with others their age who share similar values. During camp, we will do activities, crafts, bond, and discuss issues related to our theme this year, which is Daruma & Me. The daruma doll is a symbol of resilience and getting back up from hardship. We hope you will join us for our first in-person camp since the pandemic!! 🎉
