In honor of Pride Month, I’m teaming up with Gather & Grow OC and The Nest Counseling Center to offer free letters of support (also known as readiness letters) for trans folks living in California seeking gender-affirming medical services. 🏳️⚧️
Even if you don’t need this service, someone in your network might! Please spread this post as far and wide as possible. You never know who it may help.
I just want to say that therapists included here are all ones I love and respect deeply, many of whom have had an integral part in the type of therapist I am today. We all firmly believe that it’s a privilege to provide these letters to our clients on their journeys to become their most authentic selves.

Okay, I’m nervous, but here I go:
My name is Kristel and I started Sad But Rad Club during the beginning of the pandemic.
I’m q***r, Japanese-American and originally from Hawaii. Now I live in Southern California where I’m Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) and work full-time in the spicy accountant industry.
Admittedly I still get nervous every time I have to introduce myself in any capacity for fear of being disliked or disrespected, but I realize that I’ve work really hard to become me and I’m proud of the communities I serve.
If you’d like to be brave and share something about yourself here, I’d love that (but certainly no pressure to do so).
