Severe weather is in our area and will continue through this evening.

Out of an abundance of caution for our guests and our staff, we will be closed today, Thursday, June 11th, 2026.

We will reopen tomorrow Friday, June 12th, 2026, at our normal time of 4:00 pm.

Stay safe and dry everyone!

First and foremost, the Maple Tree Inn is NOT closing, NOT changing, and it will NOT be sold.
But I never thought I’d have to write this.

With that being said, it is with profound sadness that I announce the sudden passing of my wife and my best friend, Katie.

For decades, we have poured our heart and soul into Maple Tree Inn, and because of all of you, we have been allowed to live out our dreams.

That will not change.

For Katie and me, our greatest joy is that we get to work together, every day, in serving you. We get to work with a team of highly skilled, like minded, consummate professionals, whose hearts are dedicated to serving you. Because of all of you, together as a team we have the privilege of serving you every day.

That will not change.

The immediate things are being handled. And the same Maple Tree Inn family and staff you have known for years, is still here, and will be for a long time.

On a personal note, people have asked me what they can do to help. Honestly, come in to Maple Tree Inn and raise a glass to Katie. Have dinner and enjoy. Her legacy lives on in each member of our team, in each one of you, and in me. In doing so, we dedicate the future of the Maple Tree Inn to honor Katie.

Once I handle the things that need to be handled, I’ll be back as soon as I can. Until then, I know our Maple Tree Inn family and staff is looking forward to hosting you. Because that’s what we all love. To see you. To take care of you. To be a place where we all gather and share joy.

That will not change.

Katie’s spirit lives inside all of us at Maple Tree Inn. And our vision together remains unchanged.

We look forward to seeing you all soon.
