Unloaded and went fast today at the FARA USA Homestead 250!

Super happy to be back in the RARE SPEC MOTORSPORTS Spec Miata machine here at my home track again! Come out to Homestead-Miami Speedway this Saturday and Sunday to watch some great racing action. Pm me for the schedule and more info!

It’s been a great year so far!

Took some big wins and a lot of podiums! Pretty soon I get to run again for two pretty big weekends in a row. First we’re heading back to Homestead with RARE SPEC MOTORSPORTS for the FARA USA Homestead 250 to continue the Spec Miata momentum from the summer! The weekend after we head out to Indiana for the biggest kart race in the world, the Cup Karts North America Grand Nationals 10 looking to back up the Spring Nats win we got with Precision Performance Karting - Palmetto, Fl and Coyote Racing Chassis . Can’t wait to be back with my track families and continue to improve and try to get it done!

Happy birthday to the best little brother ever! Jacob, you’re super funny, super nice to everyone (except me sometimes), and you’re going to be just as good as Kyle Larson and Carson Hocevar when you get older. I love you a ton buddy, keep being awesome!

Night Fight ✅

I sucked, then I didn’t suck, then I made some mistakes that prevented what could’ve been a decent result. Far from a perfect weekend, but there were bright spots and I had a blast being back with the crew.

Found decent pace in the dry after a lot of hard work and was looking at a solid top 10 in the wet pre-final until a mistake put me in a bad starting spot for the final. It stayed rainy for the final and I got caught up in some lap one nonsense, sent off track and back to dead last (40th). Had some good battles and lots of fun and managed to move up 12 spots to finish 28th on track and 24th after penalties.

Thank you to Brandon Jarsocrak Racing for all the help and BBS Race Engine Development for the rocket ship. Also thank you to James Overbeck and Austin Miles for the coaching, my dad Greg Thek for helping and being there for me all weekend, and Matt Reilly for always helping out when we’re in your area. Always tough running these events as one-offs, but hoping to get the opportunity to run these a little more often to keep improving and get to the front!

Double winners in Sebring! 🏆🏆

We had such a great weekend. Missed out on practice but put it second in qualifying and closed out Saturday finishing second in the fun race. Made my share of mistakes so the goal was to clean it up for Sunday. On Sunday in both the sprint race and feature race I led laps, had some great battles, and got the lead back on the last lap of each race taking a win in both!

Thank you to RARE SPEC MOTORSPORTS for bringing me a fast car and Jack Cronin for the good battles all weekend, it was awesome to have 1-2 finishes for the team in every session. Also thank you to Christian Meyer for the coaching, MK Aviation for all the help, and everyone else who makes it all possible.
