Options for Missing Front Teeth.
Lateral Incisors are commonly missing. There are 2 options for how to handle a missing lateral incisor: 1) maintain the space for a future implant/bridge or 2) bring teeth forward into the space
Here we opted for option #2 and placed the canine in the missing tooth’s position. For the best esthetic result, the general dentist can do composite bonding on the canine to make the shape similar to the missing lateral incisor. When this plan is chosen, the patient will not need an implant.
