Mile High Academy

Last week, our Innovation Lab students tackled the ultimate Egg Drop Challenge!

They were tasked with finding materials that allowed them to stay within a budget, a 15x15cm size limit, and a 200-gram max weight. The end goal: protect the egg.

Minutes before the drop, one team discovered their container was over the 200g limit, which resulted in a fast scramble to trim materials without completely ruining their design!

The result? BOTH eggs survived the fall!

Way to go, innovators!

It was an honor and a privilege to welcome our alumni back to campus last weekend for Alumni Reunion Sabbath! We loved reconnecting and especially enjoyed celebrating our honor classes ending in 1s and 6s.

Huge congratulations to Mrs. Z (1st Grade) and Ms. Candelario (3rd Grade) for running the Boulderthon Half Marathon this past Sunday! We love seeing our teachers accomplish big goals on their time off. Way to go, ladies!

It was a beautiful morning for this past Sunday's Mustang Classic Golf Tournament at Raccoon Creek Golf Course!

Thanks to all 62 golfers who came out to play, laugh off the missed putts, celebrate the Birdies and Eagles, and support MHA.

A big thank you to our sponsors for standing behind us:
• AdventHealth
• AdventHealth University
• Castle Pines Family Practice & Sports Medicine
• Out of Breath Sports
• Piney Creek Family Dentistry

See you next year!

We had a great time welcoming our grandparents to campus for our annual Grandparents Day! They enjoyed spending time in the classroom, a special chapel service, and, new for this year, participating in our Walk-A-Thon. It was a beautiful day, and the joy on our students' faces said it all. Having our grandparents here to share in our school traditions and walk alongside us made this day truly unforgettable. Thank you for being such an important part of our school family. We already can't wait for next year!

We're ready for you! See you tomorrow!

Registration Starts - 10:00 am
Church Service - 11:00 am

Life at Mile High Academy isn't always about academics. It's about celebrating milestones too. On Wednesday, two first graders lost a tooth within minutes of each other during the teacher read aloud.

A few of our first-grade students popped into the Upper School Woodworking class recently for a special visit! Not only did they help the older students with some hands-on math, but they also got a peak at current class projects, including custom chess sets, picture frames, wall shelving, and cutting boards designed to look like a set of books.

It's fun seeing our young scientists learning! This week, our 8th grade students have been investigating friction by testing how different surfaces affect motion. Here's a look at them hard at work!

Even the rain couldn’t dampen the spirits at last Friday evening's Lower School Vespers! While we had to move the fun indoors, the warmth and fellowship made it a night to remember. Our families enjoyed a delicious pizza dinner, a beautiful song service led by our talented students, and an inspiring worship thought from Pastor Kenneth Martinez of Newday Adventist Church. A big thank you to all the families and teachers who joined us to welcome the Sabbath together and to enjoy time with fellow families. We are so grateful for our community!
