WERK For Your Teacher Week Coming Up With Spenga!

During the week of October 18th, Copper Mesa parents, family members, and friends are invited to attend your first SPENGA workout for FREE! When you come in, you can tell the front desk which Copper Mesa teacher you're supporting.

At the end of the week:

🏆 The teacher with the most supporters will receive $100 to use for themselves or their classroom.

💚 SPENGA will donate $10 for every new guest who attends (up to $300) directly to the Copper Mesa PTO

If you are a current SPENGA member, or you've taken a class before, you can still participate in supporting a teacher that week!

If you are unfamiliar with SPENGA, it's a great 60 minute workout that incorporates 20 minutes each of SPin, strENgth, and yoGA. It's a great workout that you can take at your own pace, in a fun, motivating environment. Why not give it a try for FREE, support CME and try to get $100 for your teacher? 💚💛

Fall Conferences are coming up the week of October 5th, and we always like to make sure our teachers and staff are taken care of and stay nourished. We made it - it’s event day!!! We really enjoyed seeing all of our cougars, and so many parents, out on the field today, enjoying the Ninja Nation Mobile course as a reward for all of their hard work!

So far we have earned $30,630, which is incredible - $630 OVER our goal! There is still time to donate this weekend, so feel free to share those webpages one more time, maybe send one more text or email, and don’t forget to check with your employer to see if they will match your donation. We are so excited to be able to bring the STEM Lab to life this year, and have some extra funds to spoil the students and staff a little bit throughout the year.

Thank you to all of our students and families for your generosity and making our school an even BETTER place to learn and have fun every day! We hope to see you all next Friday evening when the In-N-Out truck brings us all dinner (ticket sales are open until 9/30). ;) Go Cougars!!

Our Ninja Cougar Challenge is finally here - tomorrow!! Thank you all for your generous donations and for helping your child get involved in raising funds for their school. We are SO CLOSE to our goal of $30,000 for our new STEM Lab and we can't wait to get the ball rolling on that! As a reminder, if we hit our goal, every student who brought in a donation will get to participate in a special event where they will get to silly string Principal Wain and Assistant Principal Wells! It's going to be so much fun, so make sure your student has at least one donation so they don't miss out!

Reminders for tomorrow...
*Please send your student to school in their new orange school shirt (if you don't know what I'm talking about, then your teacher is saving the shirts to hand out Friday morning). There will be a school wide photo at 3:00, with everyone in their matching shirts, and this also helps us keep track of the students during the obstacle course.

*Double check the schedule below, and please come watch your student during their turn on the obstacle course, if you'd like - everyone is welcome!

*We will be offering popsicles to the students after the course, so if you prefer that your student not have one, or if you have dietary needs, please let your teacher know TODAY.

*Please make sure you have signed the waiver from Ninja Nation. Your student will not be allowed to participate if it is not signed - their rule, not ours!

*Ninja Nation has a minimum age of 5 to participate in their obstacle course, but Mr Novak will have a fun mini obstacle course set up outside for any of our 4 and under friends who want to participate as well! 💚

We are so excited to announce that the money that we earn from the Ninja Cougar Challenge will be bringing a brand new STEM Lab to Copper Mesa!! Thanks to 2nd Grade teacher, Mrs DeLeon, for putting together an amazing proposal, and thanks to everyone who voted on it! As you can see, this option won with an overwhelming 75% of the vote, and we are thrilled! Truly EVERY student will get to benefit from this, for years to come, so thank you to EVERYONE who has contributed to our fundraiser this year! We will keep you posted as we bring this exciting new addition to life! 💚💛
