Not everyone has been dealing with this heat wave. Check out Abhi Sur - just finished the Antarctica Marathon. He says there was an HRRC shirt on underneath, and he's also sporting a hat to honor our good friend, Cesar. What an experience!

It was a great day for a run in Waterton Canyon. Perfect temps before the heat kicks in.

Forgot to take a picture of the crew before we got going, but it was a beautiful morning at Chatfield! The furry guy was the only other runner out this morning.

We will be having our annual Jolly Jog on December 20th at Roxane Geisler's house at 6 pm! We'll jog a couple of miles through the neighborhood to check out the holiday lights and the Highlands Ranch-famous Gingerbread House.

I am writing to let you all know that our running community has lost another member. Last month, Lesley Humphrey passed away after a five and a half year battle with cancer.
She will be greatly missed. She ran with HRRC before her diagnosis and was planning to come back last year, but her cancer unfortunately returned. She was a big part of the running community and worked at Runners Roost Lone Tree. She loved running, coffee and was also a huge Diamondbacks fan! We will miss her bubbly personality and enthusiasm.

Her memorial is scheduled for November 1st at 11:30am at the Sundial House at Backcountry. I believe it is an open house and will end at 2:30. Please attend if you are able in order to show support for her husband Matt and their two children Lauren and Nick.

Big congrats to our bad ass team the HRRC Lunar-tics who ran 75 miles on the Chase the Moon course on Friday and Saturday!! Our team consisted of Mike Preble, Westphal, white, Ewing, and Sarah Spatz! 🌕💪
