The prophet Hosea provides us with a stark contrast between our promises and the promises of God. Our promises tend to be like how Israel's love for God was described, "Your love is like the morning cloud, like the early dew that disappears.” But God's love is quite different - faithful, constant, certain. As we rejoice in the promises of God, we seek His help in keeping our promises of faithfulness to Him.

We are called to follow Christ and share the hope that is in us, yet in this joyous calling, we will face difficulty.
