For the past two days, our Murphy Lions have been having a BLAST with St. Louis Blues Street Hockey! 🦁🥅 Students have been sharpening their stickhandling, passing, and shooting skills while learning the importance of teamwork and good sportsmanship!

Our gym has been filled with excitement, teamwork, lots of smiles, and plenty of Blues spirit! 💙💛

We love seeing our Lions try new things, stay active, and have FUN while learning! 🏒🦁

🍬👻 THE CANDY MONSTERS ARE BACK! 👻🍬

They’re roaming the halls of Murphy in search of sweet treats and Halloween trinkets to fill their bellies! 🎃🍫🍭

🏆 LET THE GRADE-LEVEL COMPETITION BEGIN! 🏆

This year, ECC will compete with Kindergarten. Help keep the Candy Monsters FULL and OUT OF TROUBLE by sending in:

🍬 Store-bought, individually wrapped candy
🎃 Halloween trinkets and small goodies

✏️ IMPORTANT: Write your student’s GRADE on each package in permanent marker so their grade receives credit!

⭐ HOW POINTS WORK:

🍭 Regular candy = 1 point per piece
🍫 NEW THIS YEAR — Chocolate = TRIPLE POINTS!
💵 Monetary donations = 20 points for every $1 donated

For example, a bag with 50 pieces of regular candy earns 50 points, while a bag with 50 pieces of chocolate earns 150 points! 🤩

💙 The grade with the HIGHEST TOTAL will win a SPECIAL TREAT from the Murphy PTO!

📅 ALL DONATIONS MUST BE TURNED IN BY OCTOBER 22!

🧸📚 Stuffy Day in 1st Grade! 📚🧸

Mrs. Oliger’s 1st grade class earned their FIRST whole-class reward for doing an amazing job meeting hallway expectations! 🎉👏

Their reward? A STUFFY DAY! 🥰 Students brought in their favorite stuffed friends and enjoyed some cozy reading time together. There’s nothing better than snuggling up with a good book and your favorite stuffy! 📖🧸💙
