By placing your child in our fun, controlled, and educational environment, your largest problem will Our setup is different from most child care centers.

High Ridge Learning Center opened in 1981, and has been caring for children for thirty-five years. We are a small center, which allows more interaction between parents, staff, and the children. We don't keep children separated by age all of the time, and allow them to move from room to room throughout the day. This allows more opportunities for younger and older children to interact. Due to inclement weather, HRLC has elected to close tomorrow. It was not an easy choice to make, but ultimately safety must come first. We will reopen Friday, with normal business hours.
Thank you, and stay safe!

Today was an exciting day for the 4-5 class! They made Leaf Rubbings! We painstakingly placed leaves, and then taped them, on large white pieces of paper. The we added another large layer of white paper, and taped it down as well. The children practiced using their motor skills by rubbing fall color themed crayons on the solid white paper to reveal the leaves underneath! When the project was over, we took off the top layer, and let the children feel the leaves that they had discovered while coloring. It was a lot of fun!

This week is “Plant Week” at High Ridge Learning Center! What makes a plant grow? What are plants good for? How many different kinds of plants are there? All good questions! We started the week by planting our very own seeds. Each child planted Alyssum seeds in their own cup, and they are expected to blossom within the next few days! Today, every child created their own version of a childhood classic flower, Dandelions. A good time was had by all!
