We got to spend some good quality time with my friend RiC Spear and his family. They are in the US for three months on a tour all the way from South Africa.

Turns out our families had a lot in common! Both Christian, both homeschoolers, and both with 100% girls for children lol.

Gaby fit right in between Serena and Karisa age wise and they got on famously together. Michelle and Charlotte got to talk recipes and we sent them home with a loaf of sourdough bread and some other goodies. And we introduced them to the glory of gooey butter cake here in St louis.

It's awesome being able to bless and also be blessed by people that cross paths in our lives. These moments are treasured, and our friendship deepened a lot just in the last few days.

Charlotte works really hard to prepare breakfast for us so that we can hit the road soon and get to markets. Last Saturday she went together omelette wraps and we had some homemade kefir ready to drink.

"When I was little we'd play house and school. These kids play ." Yep! Accurate!

This is a pet care company. Karisa is handling incoming calls, and she and the rest of the girls are supporting "Dr. Julie McClain's" practice.

They built their office out of tinker toys btw.

These days we have to make batches of 40 bars at a time to keep up. Once the soap batter is poured into the mold and set then we take out the soap "log" and cut it into 20 equal pieces. Then it's time to give them a trim by removing the sharp corners. That's what Charlotte's doing here.

It's my favorite snack ever, Forbidden Nougat!

Actually this is the base for our popular Laundry Soap. It's the same base that we use for Laundry Sticks, except we don't have to be exactly how we cut this since it will just get ground up once it's fully cured.

After these are in boxes, spaced apart so they're not touching, then in a week or two we will be able to start the shredding process and have premixed laundry soap ready to go so we can fill orders on demand.

We are growing and scaling a little more everyday! And this is the biggest single batch that we've made to date using some new processes.

The perks of making cucumber aloe soap this time of year!

Our cucumber aloe soap is naturally colored with the peel of farm fresh cucumbers. We also include some of the flesh for it's soothing properties, but it takes a lot of peel to get a pretty green colored soap.

That means we get to enjoy cucumbers every time we make cucumber aloe soap! Saturday we were able to purchase both cucumbers and fresh dill at the Arnold Farmers Market. In a couple of months we will have a new batch of cucumber aloe soap ready for you.

In the meantime we will be enjoying these delicious pickles!

Charlotte came up to me one day with two essential oils in her hands. The labels were hidden. She goes, "Smell these."

I trust my wife. I know she's not gonna make me smell something nasty. Plus we don't keep nasty oils around here either.

Folks, that combination smelled amazing. Patchouli with Fir Needle is a great combination. After I'm out of my current stick, I'm switching over to this.

Also: we'd like to share that our tubes are now 2.5 fl oz instead of 2. Our supplier ran out of the tubes we were using so we made the switch. All sticks and subscriptions have been updated.

So I asked Amelia, "Go ahead and pick out some clothes for me for our daddy date tonight." I had no idea that she planned on matching me.

Purple shirt, khaki pants, sandals. That's the costume. And that's another memory made.

As we're sitting here at Sonic enjoying a balmy evening we are crafting memories together. Corn dogs, Junior cheeseburgers, fries, and bug spray since we made a bunch this afternoon lol

We've been using for a number of things over the past few months. One use case that just came up was to have it come up with costing.

We often have to sit and calculate out in an Excel spreadsheet how much it costs us to make a product. There are lots of conversions (ex: if a 5 gallon bucket of Coconut Oil costs this much, and then we use a quarter cup in a recipe, how much is that?) and numbers to move around.

It can be time consuming, not to mention prone to error. It's why Charlotte and I both have to have our eyeballs on to see if the numbers even look reasonable!

But with ChatGPT, it was super easy.

Our strategy is to just be conversational, but explain the cost of the ingredients (like the 5 gallon bucket of Coconut Oil) and then share the recipe. We also share some custom conversions for units like "drops" where we measure out certain essential oils, and how many drops are in a more conventional measurement, like a tablespoon or a milliliter.

Within just a few seconds it pops out an answer, with details on how it arrived at that conclusion.

Awesome resource. More people are using it in more ways every day, and we are too!

Amelia is getting really good at making Bug be Gone Spray with me. We've got a good system down. I measure out the ingredients and she gets them in the bottles, then tops them all off with the perfect amount of Witch Hazel.

I don't want to make our friends jealous, but not a single skein of yarn pictured here was purchased. Every one of them was gifted to us by people who know that our girls love and .

They've gone from making simple chains to now making stuffed Critters that are incredibly cute! They also make purses and bags and articles of clothing and all kinds of things. If we're not busy making products they're staying busy making elephants and giraffes and stuff.

Finally! I must have asked three times to take a picture of these shelves as Charlotte was building them, and she kept saying no. "They're not done yet, let me get it finished and then put some products on it."
