CHARGES AGAINST CHIEF DISMISSED, MURDER SUSPECT IN CUSTODY | WHKY Full News, Thurs. 6/11/26

In the Thursday edition of the WHKY News, in top stories, the judge has dismissed charges against Brookford Police Chief Willie Armstrong as the trial moved into day 4. Additionally, the suspect in a fatal shooting in Catawba County was in a Catawba County courtroom today after being taken into custody late Wednesday. In addition, a N.C. Department of Transportation contractor was scheduled to begin repairing a failing slope along U.S. 321 North in Caldwell County on Wednesday. Also, Arianna Mack has details on a fixture in local government being elevated to a new position, she reports on Alexander County's new Assistant County Manager.
