Our second week of summer learning was filled with dinosaurs! A huge “thank you” to Bright Star Touring Theatre for bringing dinosaurs to life at Dino Academy: A Dinosaur Discovery Show!

To celebrate our dinosaur-themed summer learning program, we're partnering with Carolina Movie Theater for a special FREE screening of Jurassic Park! Watch the classic 1993 movie on Saturday, June 20, from 2:30-4:30 p.m. Free seating will be available until all seats are filled, no registration or ticket purchase required.

Join multi-instrumentalist and storyteller Luke Vandergriff for an unforgettable musical experience next Friday, June 19! Come to Patrick Beaver Memorial Library at 11 a.m. to see From Trash to Tunes: Homemade Music, a special show where all the instruments are made from bottles, cans, furniture scraps, and other repurposed materials.

Celebrate Juneteenth at a special Freedom Day Story Time! Come to Ridgeview Branch Library to enjoy stories, music, dancing, and crafts on Thursday, June 18, from 6-7 p.m.

Get an up-close look at insects, reptiles, and a python at next week's Critter Keeper event! Critters of all shapes and sizes will be at Patrick Beaver Memorial Library next Monday, June 15, from 6-7 p.m. No registration required.

Dive into a series of short stories at this month's Sojourner Truth Book Club! We will be discussing "What It Means When a Man Falls from the Sky" by Lesley Nneka Arimah on Monday, June 15, from 6:30-7:30 p.m., at Ridgeview Branch Library. Newcomers are always welcome.
