When a person is living with HIV and continues to be on effective treatment, it lowers their level of HIV in the blood. In time, if treatment is maintained, the levels of HIV in the blood can drop to a point so low they are deemed undetectable. This is medically known as being virally suppressed. During this time, HIV cannot be passed on sexually. Therefore, Undetectable = Untransmittable

We are hiring! The Community Health Educator plays a key role in ALFA’s prevention and outreach efforts. This position provides compassionate, nonjudgmental services including rapid testing (HIV, STI, and hepatitis C), risk reduction counseling, harm reduction services, and community education. The Educator will be cross-trained in all prevention activities but will maintain a focus area, such as outreach or testing coordination. Follow this link to apply on Indeed

Distributed 278 overdose reversal kits and received reports of 26 overdose reversals

These numbers highlight the importance of ensuring naloxone is readily available in our community and that people are prepared to respond in an emergency.
