Volunteers are needed to place our WELCOME flags outside before Sunday morning and Wednesday night services, and return them to the Sanctuary following the services. We are grateful for the help already received. This is a great chance to connect with the community and invite them to our services. With many hands, this outreach will become a weekly success. Longview, it is time to put those talents to work for the Lord! How can you help?

Our Van Ministry is on the move...we have drivers and riders for each van. However, Matt and Candace need help with the children that come to Longview on the van. On Sundays, we need volunteers that will allow the van children to sit with them during the worship part of our morning service. We also need volunteers to help with the children once they leave the sanctuary for our Children's Church. Our volunteers would be expected to interact with the children and provide an extra set of eyes or hands. On Wednesdays 6:00-7:00, we could use some volunteers to help with preparing a Wednesday night meal for the youth before service.

During service, 7:00-8:00 pm, we need helpers to help with the supervision of the children. After Wednesday night services, we could use helpers to clean up the kitchen area. If you are Interested in helping please contact Amanda Sigmon or Matt and Candace Stephens.

June's Family Meal will be June 3rd at 6:00 pm. The theme for the meal is sandwiches and salads. Please bring something to share!

Let's make a joyful noise!l Choir Practice is held on Wednesdays at 5:30 and Sunday morning at 9am. Rachel is joyfully planning beautiful songs to lead us into worship. There is always room for one more in the choir.

Youth News Tribe Wars are in full swing! Josh, Rachel, Brandon and Kayleigh are busy with planning the battles for the youth. If you are interested in lending a hand or your eyes... contact one of the Youth leaders for more information.

Outreach News: Longview's Outreach Teams are planning new outreach events. Choose your van color (Red, Blue, Green) and join a team. Matthew Strickland, Jim Jones or Kenny Duke can give you mere information.

Vacation Bible School Planning for VBS is in full swing. More information about when and how you can help is coming soon.

Interested in attending Sunday Scheel? Longview offers several choices... Senior Ladies, Senior Men, Adult, Elementary, Middle School and Youth classes. There is a class that is just right for you. Classes start at 10 am.

Soue Kitchen, Mrs. Kathy is seeking to find others in our church to help with the soup Kitchen ministry, We need two teams: Friday cook team (led by Leslie Weaver) and Saturday Delivery team (led by Amanda Sigmon). We need volunteers in order to continue this ministry and to make it successful. Please contact Amanda Sigmon if you are interested in helping with the Soup Kitchen ministry

A LOOK AHEAD...

In September we will begin collecting for October's Free Market. If you can't wait for the free market, you can take your donations to The Resource Warehouse and tell them it is from the Longview Church of God. They will give us gift cards for donated items that can be used in other ministry areas,
