Burning midnight oil. Just poured phase two ICF (insulated concrete forms) walls for a 15,000 sf home we are building in Shelby. This is the largest ICF project we have completed today. The second floor was over 200 yards of concrete. This house is going to be an absolute beast. This completes the wall systems for his house basement and massive garage. Next we will be installing a concrete decking system that will be used for the floor system. There will be two additional levels above the garage that will also utilize ICF Construction.

We are breaking ground on an EV charging station in Charlotte, NC. We've had a few weather delays but we are pouring concrete on the foundation piers for the canopy today. This will be a supercharging station with capacity for 12 vehicles under a canopy with solar panels. The canopy consists of six structural piers that are 6 ft deep by 2 ft wide. Each pier has a rebar cage for reinforcement and anchor bolts for the columns. Conduit runs are stubbed up through each pier for low voltage and canopy light wiring. The setup for these piers is very tedious as you have a very small margin for error. We have a 3 month schedule for this job so let's see if the weather cooperates with us through the winter months.

We are currently in the design phase for a commercial renovation in downtown Hickory. Ready to tear this building back to the structure so we can get started with the fun part. Our client has some really innovative ideas for this building. Stay tuned for updates!

We are breaking ground on 5 new units in the Cape Townhomes neighborhood in NW Hickory. Pictures of dirt aren't very exciting but rest assured the new units will be. These homes will range from 2,200 sf to 3,000 sf. DM use if you have any interest or questions. Let's build stuff!

Check out the new HALCO headquarters. The building will need a lot of work but thankfully I know a contractor that can handle it. We are happy to have a space to grow into.
