This week, Mississippi Wildlife Rehabilitation made visits to our First Regional Library branches in Coldwater and Senatobia, bringing several of their education ambassador animals while sharing sustainable practices to help save native wildlife.

Catch MWR again next week at the B.J. Chain Public Library in Olive Branch (Tuesday, June 30 at 2 P.M.), with additional visits planned for Southaven (July 7) and Hernando (July 10).

Last Saturday, the Lafayette County & Oxford Public Library hosted its "Puzzle Pandemonium Tournament", and the energy was fun! All participants took home their completed puzzle, along with some Reggie Bucks to spend at our upcoming Friends of the Library Book Sale!

Last week, the Lafayette County & Oxford Public Library held its First Responder Fair, accompanied by a related Storytime session. Kids visited with hometown heroes from the Lafayette County Sheriff's Office, Oxford MS Police Department, Lafayette County Fire Department, Baptist Ambulance, and Mississippi Emergency Management Agency!

We'd like to thank our local first responders and the Oxford Parks Commission for helping us make this happen for the kids in our community.

We're closing out the fourth week of our SRP lineup with a jam-packed weekend of programs and events!

Patrons at the Batesville Public Library have been busy showing off their creative side with this week's craft and Storytime activities!

From stone mosaics to petroglyphs, patrons of all ages created crafts relating to fossils and artifacts, while learning about some cool facts and history along the way!

Bob Tarter brought his “Animalogy” program to select First Regional Library branches this summer, including Horn Lake’s M.R. Dye Public Library. Kids got to see snakes, Gila monsters and other interesting animals as part of our ongoing Summer Reading Program!

Our Tunica Public Library patrons had fun checking out Andi Lehman's "Here Today - Gone Tomorrow" program, featuring live animals and educational facts on dinosaurs!

Only three chances remain to see this program at First Regional Library this summer, beginning Tuesday, June 30 at 2 P.M. in Como, followed by visits to Batesville (July 9 - 1 P.M.) and Senatobia (July 14 - 10:30 A.M.).
