I'm running for re-election to the Hayward City Council - District 1 🎉

Four years ago, we ran a grassroots corporate-free campaign and won, proving what’s possible when we organize around a bold vision that prioritizes people over profit. Because of your support:

We’ve strengthened renter protections and built 500+ units of affordable & supportive housing. Crime is down ~30% since 2023 & we’ve reduced homelessness by ~17% since 2019. We've opened a new fire station, saved a hospital, and renovated South Hayward’s library and community center. We’ve attracted new businesses and are re-designing the Downtown Loop. Our roads have fewer potholes and are safer to navigate. We’re providing free bus rides and free bicycles to students. (& so much more!)

I am proud of the progress we’ve made, but these wins aren’t set in stone. A difficult economy and severe budget deficit threaten to roll back what we've accomplished together. And at the national level, rising authoritarianism makes local ground even more important for us to hold.

This moment needs more than politics as usual, it needs a movement—a movement that extends beyond the walls of City Hall, that is capable of fighting for the Hayward we deserve no matter who sits on the Council. I am committed to building this movement alongside you, just as I have been before and during my time in office.

Whether we’re at City Hall or in the streets, I hope my actions and the results I’ve delivered have shown that I have your back. I hope I can count on you to have mine this November. We’re just getting started.
