Hatfield Public Library

We're super excited to have the Live Insect Zoo visit the library this Friday from 2:30–4pm! The UMASS Fernald Club brings live insects and spiders from the UMass Live Insect Zoo, preserved specimens from the UMass entomology collection, and student entomologists who love to answer questions. Drop in, hold some neat bugs, and learn some cool bug facts 🐞🐜🐛❤

October is dysautonomia awareness month. Dysautonomia means “dysfunction” of the “autonomic nervous system.” The autonomic nervous system controls all of your involuntary bodily functions like your heart rate, breathing, maintaining proper blood pressure, digestion, sleep cycles, body temperature control, sweating and more. If you are interested in learning more about dysautonomia, you can join this community-led meetup at Forbes library on Tuesday, October 27 from 5–7:45pm.

Reminder that the HES Aftercare program joins today at 3pm! Bring cards to trade (downstairs) or just come to play, read, or do the Scavenger Hunt (upstairs). Kids ages 8 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
