Happy New Year everyone!
With most off-road racing schedules being posted now, it’s time to get race ready. Besides servicing your suspension components, we can also do bike inspection and prep for the upcoming season. Currently, we’re working on Pam Schiller’s YZ250F. So far, we’ve greased rear linkage components and the steering stem. As we inspect her bike for worn parts such as brake pads or cables, we communicate with her before replacing.
Give us a call if you need any of our services.

Summer break is finally here after a really wet spring. If your races have been similar to the photos below, it might be time to have your forks serviced. Mud can dry inside seals and cause damage that you might not discover until you load up to go riding. You ahould probably pull your linkage and service it as well. All that water, sand, and muck can rust bearings or cause other unseen damage. Give us a call if you need anything.
PS: check your brake pads.

Mud races can be fun until it’s time to clean up. Here are a couple reminders for bike maintenance following a day in the sloppy muck.
1. Inspect brake pads even if they were brand new; mud/sand/red clay can erode pads quickly
2. Remove front wheel: clean/ regrease axel
3. Remove fork guards for access to forks for cleaning
4. Use Seal Dr (or comparable cleaning device) to remove dried mud & debris from fork seals
5. Consider greasing linkage if it was a super nasty mud race (even if it was recently done)
6. Pull rear wheel to clean/regrease rear axel
*Keep in mind that power washing can force debris into fork seals AND needle bearings
*Preventive maintenance such as this while tedious will help ensure longevity of suspension components.
If your suspension needs servicing, please contact us. Turn around time is approximate 3-5 days pending parts availability.
PS: We sell race gas.

Got some seat time in with TSCEC Enduro in Fluvanna this past weekend. The short course ran 48 miles of rough, tough, gnarly west Texas terrain. Thanks for a great ride!
