Whether your child has special needs or simply wants the experience of reading to a canine companion, Reading to Rover is a great way to provide your child with a friendly, non-judgmental audience. Bella and Honey, two certified therapy dogs, visit the library twice a month during the school year. Children read to them for 15 minutes. Choose from our books or bring your own from home. For independent readers in 1st to 5th grades on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month, 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED - Register at the circulation desk or call (817)439-4278, ext. 201.
Stayin' Alive Murder Mystery- Monday, October 19th 6:30pm to 9:00pm.
In the library meeting room. Registration Required. For ages 9th grade and up.
Join us on a trip back to 1979. D.J. Wolf Guy Jack keeps the disco thumping at the trendy Studio Manhattan. The club is always full of rich and famous celebrities. The music stops abruptly when the club's owner, Jackie Fever, is found murdered! Ms. Fever was fatally stabbed- obviously by someone she knew. Can you figure out who did it? Tutu School is bringing Baby Ballet to your community! This is a gentle introduction to ballet through the exposure of classical music, and storytelling. Babies will work their motor skills and strengthen their tiny muscles with a little help from their grown up! Tuesday, September 29th @ 9:30am in the library meeting room.
