Let's craft with the classics!
Turn on your listening ears, grab whatever project you’re working on, and join us at the East Shore Area Library on July 7th for a relaxing morning of crafting and classic literature! Bring your own craft and we’ll put on a classic audiobook to work through week by week while you knit, color, crochet, sketch, and create to your heart’s content. Can’t make it every week, or can’t stay the whole time? We’ll have a synopsis of what you missed, so you can jump right back into the story at any time. Program runs from 10:00am - 11:30am. Registration is not required.

Calling all quilters, crafters, costumers, and other sewists!
Join us on July 6th at the East Shore Area Library to work on projects, share tips, learn new skills, and connect with others. No experience necessary – this is a group friendly, The Stitch Sitch, is for both beginners and experts! Materials will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own. The Pennsylvania frontier played a critical role in the decade leading up to the adoption of the Declaration of Independence. Join Alexander Family Library and local historian Jim Segrave-Daly on July 3rd for a lively discussion of the contributions made on the frontier between 1765 and 1776 that the Founding Fathers eventually embraced when creating a new nation.
Jim has spoken to libraries and civic organizations nationwide for more than 15 years. He has deep family ties to the American Revolution, with his family settling in Berks County in 1649. He is a member of the Radnor Historical Society, the American Revolution Roundtable of Philadelphia, Founding Forward, the American Friends of Lafayette, and a volunteer history teacher.
