Let's craft with the classics!

Turn on your listening ears, grab whatever project you’re working on, and join us at the East Shore Area Library on July 7th for a relaxing morning of crafting and classic literature! Bring your own craft and we’ll put on a classic audiobook to work through week by week while you knit, color, crochet, sketch, and create to your heart’s content. Can’t make it every week, or can’t stay the whole time? We’ll have a synopsis of what you missed, so you can jump right back into the story at any time. Program runs from 10:00am - 11:30am. Registration is not required.

Calling all quilters, crafters, costumers, and other sewists!

Join us on July 6th at the East Shore Area Library to work on projects, share tips, learn new skills, and connect with others. No experience necessary – this is a group friendly, The Stitch Sitch, is for both beginners and experts! Materials will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own. Just want to stop in and use a machine? That’s fine too! Registration is not required. Program runs from 2:00pm - 3:30pm.

Join us at Love Memorial Library on June 11th for an engaging, hands-on workshop that explores sustainable wellness. Rather than "quick fixes," Beyond the Quick Fix will dive into practical strategies for long-term health and balance. Participants will engage in interactive activities and walk away with actionable tips and resource-filled handouts to support their wellness journey. Program runs from 4:30pm - 5:30pm. The Pennsylvania frontier played a critical role in the decade leading up to the adoption of the Declaration of Independence. Join Alexander Family Library and local historian Jim Segrave-Daly on July 3rd for a lively discussion of the contributions made on the frontier between 1765 and 1776 that the Founding Fathers eventually embraced when creating a new nation.

Jim has spoken to libraries and civic organizations nationwide for more than 15 years. He has deep family ties to the American Revolution, with his family settling in Berks County in 1649. He is a member of the Radnor Historical Society, the American Revolution Roundtable of Philadelphia, Founding Forward, the American Friends of Lafayette, and a volunteer history teacher. It might not be sun and sand or a rocky mountain retreat, but The Elizabethville Area Library is still a relaxing place to hang out. Join us on July 2nd for Weekday Getaway. We’ll have coloring pages, puzzles, games, and other low-stress activities to enjoy – just bring your lunch and unwind with us at the Elizabethville Area Library! No registration required. Calling all local authors!

Come and join us at the East Shore Area Library on October 3rd for Local Authors Making an Appearance. We are searching for six talented authors from Central Pennsylvania to showcase during this event. This half-day literacy event will highlight local and regional authors, celebrate published works, and foster meaningful connections between writers and the community. Come and join the Friends of Elizabethville Area Library for their annual spring book sale at the Berrysburg Community Center!
