We couldn’t be more proud 🥹 of these doctors. The journey to the bedside is long and arduous. Patients are truly waiting for YOU!!! We belong in EVERY room, EVERY field, EVERY specialty.
Take a moment to celebrate these wonderful doctors who are changing the world 🌍 through their existence and persistence in medicine.
Our mission at Patients R Waiting, Inc is to eliminate health disparities by increasing diversity and medicine. We have three areas of focus:
Increasing the pipeline of minority clinicians
Making the pipeline less leaky
Supporting minority clinicians in practice
it takes a decade to make a doctor and support is needed far beyond one program or one course or one shadowing experience. Doubt creeps in. Future plans are questioned. Medical education is difficult. It takes a stubborn and relentless self-confidence to persist and sometimes students need to be reminded of who they are along the way.
Thank you for leaning on us for support along the way. We are so proud of you!!!!

Last night our very own Dr. Sharee Livingston was honored as a Maternal Health Equity Champion by the World Affairs Council of Harrisburg at the first State of Black Health Forum.
Her leadership, research, and advocacy leading our Diversifying Doulas Initiative® has expanded access, education, and strengthened support for birthing people of color across our communities. We’re grateful for this recognition and incredibly proud of our entire team and doula community who make this work possible every day💜
