Delegate Brian Chisholm
Anne Arundel County

Decisions that shape our communities deserve transparency, scrutiny, and a public voice.
Earlier this evening, Delegate Brian Chisholm stayed through hours of County Council testimony to stand up for his constituents and speak against Bill 61-26, a sweeping revision of zoning rules that impact families, small businesses, and the character of our neighborhoods.
The public deserves better. Anne Arundel County deserves better. And Delegate Chisholm is fighting for you.

According to just about every poll in the 2026 cycle, "affordability" is the TOP concern for voters.
It's been our concern as well. It's why we could not vote for a Maryland budget in any of the last 4 years because it was balanced on tax and fee increases like the illustrated below.
Car registration.
You have to register a car you own every year. Wes Moore and the Maryland Democrats treat that annual fee as a piggie bank with no limit. In 2023, your car, van, or truck registration was a mild annoyance. In 2026, it requires a payment plan!
These burdens are a tax on the poor and middle class and they can only be blamed on the party in power in Maryland.
Vote Republican on November 3 or keep paying the price.
More than two years after the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapsed, we’re still waiting for progress.
Governor Wes Moore is more focused on the White House than our own communities.
The Grift That Stole Christmas!

You already knew it was getting more expensive to live in Maryland. Now you can see exactly how much.
Since 2023, Annapolis has raised your car registration, doubled the vehicle title fee, more than doubled the emissions test, added a $5 fee to every tire you buy, and raised the tax on buying a car. Your electric bill went up too — and there's a line on it for a state program most people have never heard of.
On January 1, a brand-new deduction comes out of every Maryland paycheck.
We built a calculator. Enter your vehicles and your electric bill, and it shows you what your household has absorbed — with a source on every single line. You can check it against your own renewal notice.

Then ask yourself one question. They raised nearly 400 taxes and fees since 2023, and the state is STILL projecting a $2.5 billion shortfall next year. So who do you think pays for that?
Early voting is October 22–29. Election Day is November 3.
In a recent briefing, the Department of Legislative Services confirmed it themselves: There’s no accountability!
Governor Wes Moore has expanded the government and his own budgets while state agencies fail audit after audit. Then he acts surprised when confronting the predictable fiscal cliff... and wants YOU to keep paying for it!
Repercussions for failing audits? Governor Wes Moore has never heard of those!

For years, I’ve fought to expose waste, challenge the policies driving up electricity bills, and push back against the taxes and fees making Maryland less affordable.
Now Governor Moore and Maryland’s Democratic leadership are putting their political muscle behind an effort to defeat legislators like me.
I won’t be intimidated or silenced.
Please join me October 15 at the waterfront. Your support will help me keep fighting for affordability, accountability, and a government that remembers whom it serves.
I hope to see you there.
