In honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the YWCA Hanover Safe Home is looking to partner with businesses for a campaign called "Behind Closed Doors"

The campaign is broken into three easy steps:

🦋 Step One: choose an interior door in your business
🦋 Step Two: Safe Home staff will decorate the door with the "Behind Closed Doors" message
🦋 Step Three: help in spreading awareness by providing information, local resources, and perspective to the downtown community

The Main Street Hanover, Hanover Chamber of Commerce, and HCM Wealth Advisory Group teams are ready for fall 🍁🎃

Today, Main Street Hanover staff had the opportunity to hit the road with Explore York for an immersive Civil War Trails Tour, and we came home feeling inspired!

From Hanover Junction to Dillsburg, Wrightsville, and beyond, we experienced firsthand how communities are bringing their Civil War history to life through thoughtful storytelling, engaging experiences, and creative interpretation.

Fun fact: Did you know there are FOUR Civil War Trails markers right in downtown Hanover?

Today’s tour gave us some great ideas about how we can elevate the visibility, storytelling, and visitor experience surrounding our own markers, helping residents and visitors better understand the incredible stories that happened right here in our community.

A huge thank you to Explore York for inviting us along and for putting together such an informative and inspiring day!
