MONDAY, OCTOBER 12 from 10AM to 1PM: Join us for an educational workshop for grades 6-12 about indigenous history and culture, featuring a drum circle and talk on the importance of music in indigenous culture and a presentation by Lenape Lifeways, Introducing the First People of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware.

This FREE education program is presented in partnership between the Guthrie Memorial Library, Three Retired Teachers Making a Difference, and the Hanover Area Historical Society. There are thirteen new bestsellers, two new movies, nine new audiobooks, sixteen new children's books, and 95 other new books, including 27 that are available online.

The new bestsellers this week include "The French Illusion," "Other Worlds Than These," and "Department of Fate: The Promise, the Power, and the Collapse of America's Most Consequential Institution." The new movies this week are "Moana" and "Outlander Season 8."

There are two updates in October to be aware of: 1) Libby will need a PIN, 2) the online catalog is changing

1: By mid-October, the Libby app will require a PIN number to validate your library card.
Not to worry! At YCL, your PIN is set to the last 4 digits of your library card.
❔If you changed it but forget, reach out to your local library for a quick reset.
➡️If you have an eCard starting with 990-, you picked your own PIN at signup.

2: Our online catalog vendor is moving from ChiliPAC to a new service, Aspen. Aspen has a LOT of great new features, like being able to search eBooks and print books at the same time!
🕐 If you turned on "Check Out History" in ChiliPAC and you want to keep the info, please download it by October 18th.
🕸️ Our blog has step-by-step instructions (with pictures) for how to do this!
➡️ Note: Most people do not have a Check Out History, as this is turned off by default.

Join us on the fourth Thursday of every month, 4:00 - 6:00 pm starting on September 24th in the Children's Program Room for this new youth D&D program.
