What do you do with a puzzle after you've finished it? Now you can trade them in at Guthrie Memorial Library!
The next time you visit us, check out our Take a Puzzle, Leave a Puzzle stand in the main lobby. Puzzles are free and do not require a library card to take out. You may take a puzzle to keep or to bring it back when you've finished and to swap it out for another!

NEW! What do traffic cones, a toolbox, crochet hooks, and a luggage scale all have in common? You can now check them out with your library card!
Guthrie Memorial Library - Hanover's Public Library has introduced a new "Library of Things" to its collection. The Library of Things is a collection of non-traditional library items curated to support the library's mission to promote education, recreation, and progress for Hanover area residents to live their best lives. The first items available in this new collection are:
- A Student Driver Kit, including a PA driver's manual, 4 collapsible cones, and a car magnet.
- A Craftsman Tool Kit, including 57 tools: hammer, wrench, screwdrivers, etc.
- A Beginner's Crochet Kit, including crochet hooks, stitch markers, measuring tape, etc.
- An OBDII Reader to assist with car maintenance.
- A Luggage Scale with a 110 lb weight limit.
How do you check out an item from the Library of Things? All you need is a library card in good standing and to sign our Library of Things Policy & Waiver, available at the Main Desk. Items may be checked out for one week. Items cannot be placed on hold at this time. NEW DATE: The Hollywood and the Holocaust two-part lecture series with Deb Smith has a new date!
A repeat of Part One will take place on Monday, June 15th and the long-awaited Part Two will take place on Monday, June 29th at 6:00 pm in the John & Joan Bare Center. Join us as Deb sheds light on Hollywood's history and relationship with the Holocaust.
