A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of honoring influential Black vocalists from the 1920s to the 1940s whose contributions significantly laid the groundwork for new identity expression in music and culture - Bessie Smith, Billie Holiday, Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, Mahalia Jackson, Duke Ellington, Cab Calloway, and Lena Horne.

Big thanks to Catherine for collaborating with me for this special presentation; it was very well received.
