JPB Partners is seeking an experienced Private Equity Analyst for an immediate, full-time, in-office role in our offices in Hanover, Maryland.

This position is not an internship or a future-graduate opportunity; candidates must have at least two years of relevant finance or accounting experience, strong technical Excel and three-statement modeling skills. We are saddened to hear of the passing of our dear friend Richard Story.

Dick was a valued member of the JPB family from 2011 to 2013, where he led our marketing and business development efforts with passion and integrity.

He was nothing short of a personality you couldn't say no to—charismatic, warm, and endlessly engaging. Dick greeted everyone with a smile and a kind word, making a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of working with him.

Our thoughts are with his wife Ginny and the entire Story family during this difficult time. Dick will be deeply missed.

We’re hiring a senior accountant to oversee the financial operations of our growing family of HVAC companies. In this role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, implementing financial controls, and providing strategic guidance to support our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Build out centralized finance and accounting processes including:

✔️ Month-End Close
✔️Prepare ongoing journal entries and accruals
✔️Perform bank and account reconciliations
✔️Produce monthly income statements
✔️Oversee all AP and AR
✔️Day to day record expense allocations, monthly accruals, amortization of prepaid expenses, and fixed asset depreciation
✔️Manage cash effectively, conduct cash on hand analyses and reconcile cash accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance
✔️Manage banking relationships (debt financing, cash management, etc.)
✔️Manage Payroll
✔️Administer 401k plan
✔️Assist with integration to QuickBooks

Qualifications:
✔️ 3+ years accounting experience (HVAC or construction background preferred)
✔️ Strong knowledge of QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting principles
✔️ Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines
✔️ Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and efficiency
✔️ Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (preferred)

Compensation:

This is a full-time position. Pay is commensurate with experience and qualifications. 40-hours a week. $70,000 - $85,000 + Benefits.
