While millions of children on the Autism Spectrum grow up to be under-employed or unemployed, there are companies out there creating opportunities. In order to take advantage of these opportunities, we need to start preparing our children early instead of declaring them as only able to achieve certificates of completion at the age of 21 years old when they are merely 5 and 6 years of age. At Empowerment Collective, Corp we create opportunities and hope for children on the Spectrum to obtain job opportunities at places like Microsoft, SAP, and Ernst and Young. We create a safe space to socialize and learn to explore the community safely. We learn new skills to brighten our safety awareness and bring awareness to the community of issues that impact our ability to be productive members of the community. Most important we have fun! We create a community that helps lighten the load on our parents and gives them crucial support from others who understand.

My son is what started me on this journey to creating a safe space where children with Autism related disorders and their families can come for recreation, support, growth, and opportunity.
