Community Design Alliance

CDA is ready for the season and we only do friendly windows here! Please make plans to attend Operation Pumpkin on Oct 9-11 as well as the new downtown event Main & High Halloween Trail on Friday Oct 30 for some good old fashioned Trick or Treating!

The CDA team toured our Lane Library Fairfield Township Branch project today. One thing that we all agreed on is that in our profession it never gets old watching a design become reality as it gets built out. This project took a collaborative design effort and we are looking forward to the opening this Fall.

Within the last 6 months, we have welcomed two new members to our CDA Staff.
Aubrey Schmidt, graduated from the University of Wisconsin Steven Point with a degree in interior Architecture and Sustainable Energy. She joined us in January and is also a new resident of downtown Hamilton. Aubrey is actively involved with IIDA and while in school spent a month studying abroad in Kenya.
Austin Grant is a Butler County resident and graduated with his Master of Architecture from Miami University. Austin brings related intern work experience in K12 architecture with him as well as community connectivity with Tiny Homes for Humanity.
Welcome Aubrey and Austin when you see them out and about in Hamilton as they help us with a variety of projects!

We want to take a moment to thank the people who’ve made the June High Street BAZAAR possible, our very generous sponsors!

💻Thanks to the Hometown Lawyers, we also have a pretty swell website too: www.hamiltonbazaar.com

So… anyways… THANK YOU ALL for CONTRIBUTING TO THE COOLNESS!!!!!!

This month has been a reminder that as design professionals we can make a real impact for good in our community.
Carley Naille, CDA Interior Designer, recently graduated from Leadership Hamilton Class 34 and their class project is for Open Door Pantry where they will be working on a "Dignity Makeover" with a lobby and community room makeover. See attached photo for sponsorship opportunities.
Yesterday, Tony Rawe, CDA Architect, attended the ribbon cutting for his Leadership Fairfield class project at The Market at Shared Harvest which is a transformative space for that organization.
Mary Knapp, Leadership Hamilton Class 31, worked on the BTW Teen Art Space at BTW a few years ago to support arts education programing.
All these projects were part of a Leadership class group effort to provide inspiring spaces to allow good work to happen. As a part of a team we can accomplish a lot! A great example of WE>ME

Exciting day for Build Back the Block with the ribbon cutting for our East Ave houses! They turned out great and we’re looking forward to Jefferson families finding a new place to call home.
