The Hamilton Police Department and Greater Hamilton Safety Council are thrilled to kick off another exciting year of Safety Town!

We finished our first week for our four-and-five year olds, teaching them stranger danger, pedestrian safety, 911, gun safety and much more!

We all love when the Hamilton Fire Department shows up on Wednesday to teach the kids fire safety! Thanks for all you do!

A big thank you to the teen volunteers who make this program a success year after year.

We would also like to thank our sponsors, Lindenwald Kiwanis and Jags Sporting Goods for their generous donations every year.

Here is an educational video that shows and explains the differences between bicycles, electric bikes (e-bikes), and electric motorcycles (e-motos). It also advises where each can be ridden and requirements, such as helmets and age. As always no bikes, e-bikes, or e-motos can be ridden on the sidewalks in the business district, they must be walked.

This Memorial Day, we want to honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. They will never be forgotten.

As we spend time with our loved ones this weekend, let’s not forget that our freedoms come at a great cost. We are grateful to those who gave their lives in defense of our nation and also to the families who carry their memory each day.

The Hamilton Police Department asks that you join us in honoring and remembering our fallen heroes this Memorial Day. β€οΈπŸ€πŸ’™

With today being National Police Memorial Day, we pause to remember the Hamilton officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our community. As part of this day of remembrance, flowers were placed at the gravesites of these fallen officers:

Arthur Walke
Harry Baker
Charles Stegemann
Arthur Sponsel
Aaron Laubach
George Lentz
Earl Grubb

Today, we honor their courage, service, and dedication to protecting others. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten, and we remain grateful for the lives they lived and the legacy they left behind.

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Kroger for generously donating flowers for the gravesites. Your kindness and support helped make this tribute even more meaningful.
