Drought conditions have been worsening for much of the Southeast and Central Plains, while the northern Great Lakes region has seen one of the the wettest stretches of weather on record! How has this spring looked for you so far?

Be aware: Pesticide applicators offering spray services need a license I recently had a friend call me about a pesticide company going door-to-door in the neighborhood selling their spray services. They were telling homeowners that they would spray their lawn, landscape, and around the house to eliminate all spiders, ants, and other bothersome insects.

We hope someone is building an ark! This forecast seems to be the story for the summer. Disease pressure is, has been, and will continue to be immense. We are also doing everything we can to stay on schedule for your applications but may be a bit slower than usual due to the weather. We will only do what is best for your lawn and extreme heat and or rain will limit our abilities in the short term. Thank you for your understanding and patience!

Another rainy day! With the volume of rain and recent heat we’ve seen, fungal diseases are widespread and may be causing the “brown” you’re seeing in your lawn. Brown patch, dollarspot, leaf spot, and others show various symptoms and patterns. No year is normal, but we’ve gone from an extremely dry one in 2024 to an extremely wet one in 2025!

A long time client recently sent us this photo showcasing their lawn. After a long winter it’s held up phenomenally!

It looks like the free ride is over! The wonderful spring we’ve enjoyed since late March (mostly upper 70s!) is turning to summer. With no rain in sight, be sure to keep up with watering if you want to maintain turf health. Deep and infrequent watering (think 3x per week at 30-45 min per zone vs. daily at 10-15 min) is always preferred.
