My Buddy Aaron Perry who is also a rod builder is doing a great thing here. A young man (boy) who had to have his arm amputated has a go fund me to raise enough money for prosthetic arm. Aaron has decided to do a fund raiser where he will be giving a way a custom built rod. Tickets are $10, this rod is valued roughly at $500 (on the low end) beautiful rod you can check it out on his page. I have some Pigs whips in house (already sold for builds) Krebs Custom Rods is out until mid march!. Here is what I can tell you. The PW is 1.25mm in wall thickness compared to the .94mm of a rainshadow. The OD of the PW is about 16mm and the Rs 17.2 both at the thickest points. So the pig whip is smaller in diameter but has a thicker wall. The PW is a medium.compared to a medium light of the Rs. It is stiffer than the Rs but not as stiff as a MHX. The PW has a matte slate color with a slight textured feel where the Rs has a glossy finish and is smooth..The Rs is a spaghetti noodle, obviously I have not had the opportunity to fish with a PW but I know ill definitely be building on for myself. I feel this is a rod that will hold up great and deliver great results. If anyone wants to get in line for when these rods come back in stock I will lower deposits to $50 to get in line for a build with the other $100 due when the rod can be ordered and the remaining balance will be due when the rod is complete. All deposits go towards the overall cost of the build.

FELLAS....and ladies. I have been beat to death over the Pig Whip rod. What I know, nothing. However I have 3 ordered for builds that im picking up Saturday. Stay tuned ill let you guys know...things to keep in mind. The rainshadow is a ML rod the pig whip is a Medium. I expect it to feel like the medium MHX. It will probably have that flimsy feel with some more back bone. Ill keep you up dated.
