๐ Happy Earth Day, everyone! ๐ฑ Today, we're feeling super inspired after celebrating Earth Day at Aunt Cubby's Luncheonette in Hopewell! ๐
We had an absolute blast hosting a FREE project for the kiddos (and kids at heart too) โ showing them the magic of repurposing our leftover fabric scraps into a super cute, shabby-chic garland. ๐ It's incredible to see how a simple project like this can make such a big impact on the environment by reducing waste and creating something beautiful! ๐
The staff at Aunt Chubby's Luncheonette were beyond friendly and helpful, making it an amazing experience for everyone involved. ๐ We even had the coolest beekeeper table next to us, and we learned so much just by listening in! ๐
We invited all who passed by to add a strip to a very special community garland that will hang at as a beautiful reminder of this wonderful day. ๐ It's incredible to see how a simple project like this can bring people together and create a sense of community. ๐
Feeling crafty? ๐จ If you want to make your own super fab garland from your own scraps, we have the instructions on our blog! (Link in bio) ๐ Let's continue to inspire each other to reduce waste and create something beautiful in the process! ๐ช

Today marks the 32nd anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)๐
The ADA means that exclusion and segregation of people with disabilities is discrimination...and illegal. We are grateful to the many thousands of people whose commitment and hard work contributed to the passage of this historic piece of civil rights legislation. Without the disability rights movement โ there would be no ADA.
That same year, 1990, Boston held the first Disability Pride Day. Since then, Disability Pride events have been held across the country and the world.
The Disability Pride flag is a representation for disabled people to take pride in their whole self, which includes their disability. The Disability Pride Flag was a collaborative design effort by Ann Magill, a disabled artist, with feedback from the disabled community. The color of each stripe represents the diverse group of people that makes up the disability community.
Green: sensory perception disabilities๐
Blue: mental health disorders๐
White: invisible and undiagnosed disabilities๐ค
Gold: cognitive and intellectual disabilities๐
Red: physical disabilitiesโค๏ธ
To show our pride, we've created a line of tote bags inspired by the Disability Pride Flag. Each tote is one-of-a-kind and handmade by a disabled designer. 100% of the purchase price is passed directly on to the designer - no overhead costs are added to the price of the tote.
