Buestar Linux is an Arch-based Linux distribution. Packed with a wide variety of up-to-date software
Bluestar Linux is provided in 4 distinct distributions - Desktop, DeskPro, DeskPro-Developer and Desktop-E17. Supporting both the i686 and x86_64 platforms, Bluestar uniquely provides additional versions prepared specifically for the Intel GMA3600 graphics chipset at a 1024x600 resolution. Due to its close relationship to Arch Linux, Bluestar Linux always includes the latest stable versions of software available. All Bluestar distributions are packaged with Apper and PacmanXG for seamless and flexible software management. Software update notifications are configurable and occur on a regular basis. Bluestar Linux provides a KDM/KDE Desktop Environment as its default, although the Desktop-E17 distribution is built upon Enlightenment for users who prefer a lighter desktop experience. Bluestar Linux is a systemd-compliant Linux OS, and thus provides the user with a fast-booting, highly optimized Linux environment.

Because it's such a simple resolution to an ongoing issue, I'll post the fix for kioworker here.
You just need an initialization for kioworker. Specifically, kioworkerrc.
Create $HOME/.config/kioworkerrc. Add the following to the file:
[KDE]
widgetStyle=fusion
Save and exit.
That's it.
What it does is force kioworker to disengage from the current functional theme and use a builtin feature instead, avoiding the clash with Oxygen which is a known issue.
If you want to offer it up for other accounts on your system, copy kioworkerrc to /etc/skel/.config
It took 30 hours of build cycles and AI assistance to figure this out. The solution may be simple and elegant, but getting there was not. This fix solidly resolves the issue. It's not a known fix by any means. The journey to figure it out included running through the core dumps, investigating dbus connections, narrowing it down to a single interaction and still having to figure out where exactly it had to be fixed and how - kioworkerrc is not a config file that shows up anywhere else. Both how *and* when were important. Several similar fixes using scoped config tags were tried via kdeglobals and the theme's defaults file, but none were applied early enough.

bslx-sonic-7.2.3-18-2026.09.05-x86_64 has been released and is available for download from
https://sourceforge.net/projects/bluestarlinux/files/distro/
Sonic Desktop is available. It took 42 cycles including iso builds to work out all of the glitches. Everything was resolved The kioworker crash was the last piece - took 15 build/test cycles involving AI for that one alone. If anyone has this issue, let me know and I'll fill you in on how to resolve it.
This is a purely X11-based version of Plasma.
